The David III is an 8 shaft floor loom with a sinking shed that makes a modest impression with its simple compact shape, but surpasses many a large loom in functional quality. Available in 70, 90 or 110 cm weaving width. The warp beam can be folded after which the depth of the loom is 34''
The David was redesigned in 2021 and this version David III has a sturdier frame and beams, a slanting beater and an improved brake system.
The tie up of single treadle system with pre-applied cords requires little effort and also operating the treadles is very light. The ingenious cam and spring system provides a strong shed and a warp tension which is the same on the upper and lower shed.
David is made of laquered beech wood and is delivered partially assembled. Inclued are a built in raddle with raddle covers, stainless steel reed 40-10 (10 dpi), 800 (D70), 1000 (D90), 1200 (D110) Texsolv heddles (280mm), 2 lease sticks and 2 apron sticks along with 16 warp sticks.
