60 Minute Handweaving taster session
Prepare to explore the captivating realm of handweaving in our 60-minute session! Come to my cosy home studio, where you will work on one of my two stunning pre-warped table looms, ready for your artistic touch. Select from a lively selection of weft colors and yarn types, and I'll guide you through an array of entertaining pattern choices. By the end of this session, you'll leave with your very own woven creation! Please note that each session is limited to a maximum of two participants due to space constraints.
Price per participant £20
I also offer a 2 hr extended session for £30 per participant - please contact me to book.
Weaving Basics on a multi shaft loom
A follow on from the "introduction to weaving" experience, or more suitable for a beginner weaver with their own multi-shaft loom at home wanting to learn more details.
The day will start off with an explanation of the loom and the basics of weaving.
At the end of the day, you will take away your woven sample and notes that you can refer back to.
2 day course (total 12 hours)
Maximum 2 participants per experience.
Tea, Coffee and Biscuits provided, but please bring along a packed lunch as we will break for 30 mins.

Day 1:

Choice of warp and weft (from our 8/2 cotton selection or our 17/2 lambswool selection)

These courses aren’t scheduled at fixed times – instead, we run them to suit your availability. Just get in touch and we’ll arrange a time that works best for you!
Want to Weave your own Cushion Cover!
With a choice of cotton, bamboo or lambswool yarns, you can weave your very own cushion cover in our day long experience.
I will liase with you beforehand to discuss colours, designs and yarn choices and then set up the multi-shaft loom ready for you to start weaving!
You will weave a piece of fabric large enough for a cushion cover which is 30cm x 40cm in size.
Ath the end of the day I will wet finish the fabric for you and make it into a cushion cover, using cotton fabric on the reverse and a duck feather filled cushion pad inside.
This will be completed within 2 -3 weeks of your experience.
Maximum 2 participants per experience.
Length of course 6 hours

Fancy weaving your very own scarf?
On our two day experience, you will weave your own bamboo scarf!
I will liase with you before the experience to discuss colours and design and will set up the multi shaft loom ready for you to start weaving straight away.
At the end of the experience , I will finish your scarf, by completing any weaving needed, hand twisting tassels and wet finishing the scarf. This will be completed within 2 -3 weeks of the end of your experience.
The finished scarf will be approximately 30 cm wide and 2 metres long excluding the tassels.
Maximum 2 participants per experience.

One-to-One Experiences
Maybe you are a new weaver struggling with some concepts, or perhaps you have a particular issue with your loom, or are struggling with dressing your loom?
Maybe you want to try a new weave structure?
I offer one-to-one experiences on an hourly basis.
This can either be using my looms and equipment or your own - (table looms can be brought to my studio, for floor looms, I can come to you provided you are within a 45 minute drive of Frensham, Farnham and subject to an agreed individual additional travel charge)
Price per hour - £30 plus travel expenses where applicable. (£120 for a 6 hour day)
